Endorsement in Nurse-Midwifery:

Midwifery Initiative


Admission Requirements:

  • Students participating in the Midwifery Initiative must meet the admission requirements of their home university.  Admission interviews will be conducted with Shenandoah University Nurse-Midwifery faculty whenever possible.

Degree Requirements:

Core courses completed at home university.  The degree requirement is 19 semester hours with a grade of B or better in all courses.  Clinical practicum is approximately 700 clock hours.

Specialty Courses:

Minimum grade of B required in all specialty courses.
