WELCOME TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY
To quickly contact Public Safety call 540-678-4444 or in case of emergency call 911.
Message from the Director
Keeping the Shenandoah University community safe and secure is our primary concern, and customer service is our number one responsibility. Shenandoah University subscribes to the “community policing” model, which means we ask everyone for help with campus safety and security issues. If you observe anything that gives you cause for concern, do not hesitate to notify the Department of Public Safety. We will promptly and professionally respond to each and every phone call or personal interaction. Public Safety officers are available seven days a week, 24 hours a day every day of the year.
As part of the Division of Student Life, the Department of Public Safety is also committed to the total learning process for Shenandoah students; we believe in our mission to “educate and inspire.” Public Safety officers are committed to helping all members of the university community make educated decisions that foster positive experiences during their journey at Shenandoah.
Please feel free to contact me any time at (540) 545-7338 or [email protected].
You can always reach the Department of Public Safety at (540) 678-4444 or [email protected]. In an emergency, use one of the blue emergency phone towers or, in an extreme emergency, do not hesitate to call 911 first and then DPS if possible.
I look forward to helping provide the level of professional service and education you and every member of the Shenandoah University community deserves.
Robin W. Ebersole
Director of Public Safety
