James A. Davis Lectures in Religion

The Religion Department of Shenandoah University sponsors the campus-wide James A.
Davis Lectures in Religion, usually in the Fall semester. Past lecturers have been Dr. Tony Campolo (Eastern College), Dr. Gail Fenton (Duke University), and Dr. Kendall Soulen (Wesley Theological Seminary).

Seminars on Racial Unity

Also offered by the Religion Department, periodic seminars, lectures, round-table discussions, and community-wide forums on the ways of strengthening our relationships with each other; especially on campus, as well as realtionships with racial and ethnic groups in Winchester.

Shenandoah Institute for Christian Spirituality

An Ecumenical Center with the purpose of supporting the people who seek to live out the call of Jesus Christ in their every day life. The institute offers programs and opportunities for spiritual formation and a referral service for those seeking spiritual direction.

The Ethics Institute

A periodic offering of lectures and workshops on ethical issues relating to politics, healthcare, race relations, and other societal issues.
