As Chaplain, I hope you will find the areas of Christian nurture and service that best fits you and pray that God will give you guidance as you participate in these opportunities for discipleship.
Because we are a United Methodist affiliated institution, we have the support of the larger denomination in many of our mission projects as well as through student scholarships and loans. And, because we are United Methodists in spirit, we are ecumenically minded.
W hatever the faith background, we are here to help students, faculty, and administration in their personal journeys toward Christian Character development and a deeper faith. The Chaplain’s Office works closely with area clergy to link students and faculty with spiritual leaders and congregations of their faith tradition.
Shenandoah University is moving and growing in faith. I hope you will assist my colleagues and me in bringing Christ to a world that needs to hear his message of forgiveness, acceptance, and love.
Keeping the Faith,
Barry Foster
