Students assigned to Shenandoah University Child Care Center must be interviewed by the Child Care director before beginning work. Students must be responsible and dependable an be able to take initiative in the class with the children. Daily interaction with the children includes the following: Reading to the children, helping with art/learning projects, diapering/feeding infants, monitoring nap times, dishes/snack preparation, and helping lead teacher keep classroom in order. Must have transportation, must give three references, must pass two criminal background checks, must have a negative TB test signed by a doctor or nurse and must complete an orientation at the center.
