Duties and Responsibilities

  • General office duties such as filing, answering phones, greeting students and parents

Skills and Qualifications

  • Confidentiality--This office holds information of fellow students that should never be discussed outside the office.
  • Dress Code--
  • Noise level--This year we have 3 more work study students and an extra full-time employee. The noise level can rise quickly. Please make an effort to minimize any loud speaking.
  • Professionalism--Always speak and act professional to co-workers and customers (Students & Parents).
  • Telephone Manners--When answering the phone for the office always identify yourself by saying your first name. Under all circumstances be friendly and helpful. If you cannot help the person, take a message or put them on hold.
  • Visits by Friends--Again, this office has information that is very confidential. It is preferred that friends that need to talk to you during the work hours, wait for you in the hall outside the door.
  • Equality--All work-study students in our office are equal. There are no ranks. Each student will have knowledge of different tasks, but you are all equal.
  • Time cards--Time cards should be filled out completely and accurately. Always enter time when you arrive and when you leave. You should not round the times up or down. Put the exact time you come in or out.
  • If you are not able to come to work--CALL, CALL, CALL!

Dress Code

No short skirts or short shorts. No halter tops.
