Shenandoah University is committed to providing equal access to

with disabilities. Our
mission is to provide reasonable and appropriate accommodations and
support services that will assist students in achieving their
academic and professional goals.
Disability Services collaborates with students, faculty and staff
to create an educational environment that is equitable and inclusive
for all member of the university community.
As part of Shenandoah
University’s commitment to upholding the letter and spirit of the
laws that ensure equal treatment of people with disabilities, the
university recognizes and adheres to the mandates of the
Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act
of 1990. It is the policy of Shenandoah University that no otherwise
qualified individual is denied reasonable and appropriate access to
or participation in any program or activity of the university
because of a disability. Pursuant to this policy, the university’s
Disabilities Services Office (located in the Academic Success
Center) is a resource for students, faculty and staff. Individuals
who have a documented disability should request assistance from the
director. Faculty and staff charged with assisting those with
disabilities may utilize the services of the director as a source of
expertise and assistance.
