Recreational Sports Job Opportunities

Intramural Assistant

1. Supervise the use of facilities used for Recreational Sports.

2. Supervise sports officials if applicable.

3. Assist sports officials in setting up/tearing down of facilities and equipment.

4. Remove all litter from facilities.

5. Maintain a safe environment for all participants engaging in sponsored activities.

6. Enforce and abide by all university and building regulations, policies, safety precautions and rules set by the Office of Recreational Sports.

7. Record and keep all scores and information necessary to the tournament or league event.

8. Disseminate information to participants, students, faculty and staff as directed by the Recreational Sports Coordinator.

9. Perform additional tasks assigned by the Recreational Sports Coordinator.

Fitness Room Supervisor

1. Effectively supervise your area to insure safety of the participants by requiring that equipment and facilities are utilized properly at all times.

2. Clean up the weight room at the beginning and end of each shift and report conditions as needed to the Recreational Sports Coordinator.

3. Direct all individuals to sign in and out.

4. Complete online work requests for equipment that needs to be fixed by maintenance.

5. Clean all equipment at least one time during the shift.

6. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Recreational Sports Coordinator.

Sports Official

1. Officiate league or tournament games throughout the academic year.

2. Enforce all rules of the tournament or league.

3. Create a safe environment for all who participate.

4. Assist in setting up all facilities and equipment with the Intramural Assistant.

5. Clean and maintain facilities and equipment.

6. Report to the Intramural Assistants and Recreational Sports Coordinator.
