EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH
In an
effort to reach out to students, faculty, and staff, Counseling Services
provides educational programming on mental health topics of interest to
the campus community. We also have expertise in alcohol and other drug
issues. Previous workshop, class presentations, and programs have
covered topics such as:
-
Healthy Relationships
-
Relax, it’s just Stress
-
Alcohol Awareness
-
How to Help a Friend with an Eating Disorder
-
Understanding Depression
-
Self-Esteem, Why YOU Matter
-
Minding your Mind-Drugs in College
Other
workshop topics are available and can be tailored for the needs of the
intended audience. When making special requests, please keep in mind
that additional time may be needed to develop the program. Counseling
Services staff members are available to present workshops to University
residence halls, classes, and other campus organizations.
If
you would like to request such a program, please email Nancy Schulte at
nschulte@su.edu.
Please remember to consider your date and time in relation to other
university events and how you will be marketing your program.
