Mental Health Emergencies

Mental health emergencies which occur during office hours (9-5pm) can be handled by contacting Counseling Services at 540-665-4530 and asking to speak to Nancy Schulte prior to sending the student over to the Wellness Center, Racey Hall (if at all possible).

In the event of an emergency after office hours, contact the Office of Public Safety at 540-678-4444.  Public Safety will contact the SU administrator on call for the appropriate response.

If the situation is life threatening, please call 911 and /or go to the nearest Emergency Room, which is Winchester Medical Center, 1840 Amherst Street, 540-536-8700.
