Grad Finale
10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Ferrari Room, Brandt Student Center **Caps and gowns will be distributed during this event.**
Grad Finale will deliver convenience to students as they prepare for graduation by streamlining the graduation contact points for May and December Shenandoah University graduates and offices. Commencement details will be available and students can talk with local hotels and restaurants about discounts for Shenandoah graduates and their families. This event will also include information on the SU Laptop Buyout program and ConnectSU. Graduation portraits –in caps and gowns –will be taken at the Grad Finale and orders can be placed for personalized graduation announcements, class rings and diploma frames. Door prizes will be given away.

Grad Bash

Grad Bash is a celebration to congratulate SU’s seniors. While all members of the SU community are invited to come and share in the celebration, seniors receive a free tee shirt and a gift from the alumni office. It is a time for fun, games, music, food, and grabbing those last photos with friends.

Soccer Field located behind the Brandt Student Center; Rain location: Shingleton Gymnasium
Report to the soccer field in your cap and gown, ready to line up. Please leave all purses and other valuables with your family. Signs will be posted if line up is moved to Shingleton Gymnasium.

Shenandoah University Commencement Ceremony
1:45 p.m.
Smith Library Plaza
The graduate processional begins promptly at 1:45 p.m., with the graduates walking down the steps by the “SU”to their seating area by the ceremony stage. The ceremony will begin promptly at 2 p.m.
A light reception will immediately follow the Commencement Ceremony in the grassy area of the quad between the big “SU”and Mumaw Plaza, hosted by the Office of Alumni Affairs.

**Ceremony Rain Date: Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Smith Library Plaza. Please note: The ceremony is held rain or shine. It will only be moved to Sunday in the event of severe weather.

PLEASE NOTE: There are no university-wide commencement ceremonies for August or December. Those graduates are welcome to participate in the May commencement ceremony.
