The most beneficial thing I have experienced at Shenandoah University is the comaradarie that the teachers have with the students. Most classes are small, so teachers and students really get a chance to know each other. This creates a wonderful atmosphere for learning the material, and a safe environment for questions and discussion. I have also valued the pleasant attitude of all of the staff, from the secretaries to the maintenance staff. I really feel like the educators at Shenandoah want to help each of their students better themselves and prepare themselves for whatever lies ahead, be that the workplace or higher education.

My
experience:
Shenandoah has been a blessing. Studying here has given me a hunger to understand the world around me, a hunger that had been before dormant. There is so much to know and to make mine! With each course I begin, I find fresh zeal in capturing whatever knowledge I can - whether it is that the word "berserk" stems from the Vikings, or that there exists a new theorem to describe the character of water flow. I am thankful for this institution, for its ability to feed my hunger in nearly every category of growth, almost as quickly as I can question.

When
I first came to Shenandoah University I was amazed at how readily accessible
the faculty were whenever I needed help with anything. Even when I was
a freshman I could learn on the same camera, editing and lab equipment
that people in my chosen profession are using in the "real world." The
hands-on experience I have received will put me a step above others applying
for internships or jobs because I'm already comfortable with the technology.
