Mountains, rich pastureland, Skyline Drive, the Appalachian Trail, the Shenandoah river and enough apple orchards to fill spring with acre after acre of blossoms- they're all part of the visual spectacle. No wonder our environmental study students happily volunteer to work on local projects like ecological surveys, wetland investigations and protection initiatives.
