The Bulletproof Mind: Mental Preparation for Combat is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Halpin-Harrison Hall, Stimpson Auditorium. Lt. Col. Dave Grossman has been a keynote speaker at major national and international law enforcement training organizations and agencies. His presentation at Shenandoah University is designed for anyone who carries a gun or is in a position of safety. Participants can receive their DCJS certification from the City of Winchester Police Department as well as transcripts for CEUs from Shenandoah University and a certificate of completion from the Center for Lifelong Learning. “Bees: How They Live, Current Threats & Why We Should Care,” a lecture by Dr. T’ai Roulston of the Blandy Experiment Farm and University of Virginia, begins at 7 p.m. in Halpin-Harrison Hall, Stimpson Auditorium. This presentation is sponsored by the Friends of the State Arboretum (FOSA) and Shenandoah’s Environmental Studies Program.
