On
behalf of the Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business, I wish each of
you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and a special holiday
season filled with warmth and joy. Along with the faculty and staff,
I would like to express our deepest gratitude to those who have made
our progress possible. At this time of the year, we also clearly understand
the impact of the economic crisis on many of our students, alumni and
friends. We will do all we can to help students stay in school and to
assist our alumni in career transitions.
The Byrd Business Review has captured the many achievements
of our school during 2008. The new year will bring forth new opportunities
for us to explore and pursue. During our time together this year, all
of us - faculty, students, staff, alumni, advisory board members, university
colleagues and friends - have joined together in pursuit of quality
and excellence. By all of us continuing to work together as a unified
group, we can achieve great things together in the coming year.
