Silver
Anniversary Invitation Issue
Plans have been made for the Silver Anniversary ceremony of the naming
of The Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business. We hope you will be in
attendance for this special occasion. During the ceremony, you will
hear different voices of appreciation expressed to Senator Byrd for
allowing Shenandoah University to use his name in support of our academic
programs, as well as what the Byrd School has individually meant to
the program participants. In addition, we acknowledge voices of change
both inside and outside the school who are making the Byrd School's
mission and vision a reality. In a year of unprecedented economic challenges,
the Byrd School moves forward with boldness and determination in providing
high quality learning experiences for undergraduate and graduate students.
For the past 25 years, the Byrd School has continued to evolve to meet
the changing needs of business graduates who need to think, act, and
innovate in unfamiliar and uncertain business environments. The Byrd
School brings together students from a variety of backgrounds to hone
their skills, competencies, and knowledge so they will be able to achieve
satisfying careers. Working with our student body is a faculty who are
dedicated teachers and scholars and committed servants. By
building on real-world experiences through class interaction, a powerful
learning experience is delivered.
