FAQ

What is the refund policy?

The $100 deposit is only refundable if your child is not accepted. However, if your child is accepted and chooses not to attend you will not receive a refund. You may cancel your acceptance and receive a refund less $100 only if the request is made by June 6, 2010. Students arriving late or leaving early are not eligible for any compensation.

What are the housing facilities like?

Male and female students are housed separately in residence halls. Students must bring their own linens including sheets, pillows and blankets for a twin bed, as well as towels and clothes hangers. Coin-operated washers and dryers are available. Bring your own detergent and a supply of quarters.

What happens if I get sick?

The University’s Wilkins Wellness Center is available for prompt, professional medical care 24-hours a day. In the unlikely event a student needs hospital care, immediate transportation to the Winchester Medical Center or the Urgent Care Center will be arranged. Costs resulting from medical care are the responsibility of the parent, guardian or participant.

How many students attend?

There are approximately 225 students. A low student-to-counselor ratio and a low student-to-teacher ratio permits the optimum musical experience. We admit only enough students to fill the ensemble and repertoire requirements.

Who are the counselors?

All students are under the careful supervision of our staff. Counselors live in the residence halls with the students and closely monitor all activities. We employ only the best and brightest counselors. Most are college students or alumni.
