Richie leads the Academic Computing Technology Team.
Richie holds undergraduate degrees in Information Technology from Shepherd University and WVU and a postgraduate degree in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University. He most recently served as the Information Technology Strategist, CIO/ISO for Lord Fairfax Community College. Richie has over 20 years of experience in information technology and educational technology leadership roles.
Health Professions Building (HPB)
Jeff provides classroom support for the Health Profession Buildings (HPB). In addition to being the lead classroom support technician at HPB, he also maintains, troubleshoots, and upgrades classroom and conference room audiovisual systems and related components.
Jeff has a degree in electronics from DeVry University and over 20 years working in the A/V industry. For many of those years, he was responsible for designing and managing the installations of A/V and video teleconference systems for the Pentagon, military sites, and government agencies, such as mission control rooms, command centers, and conference rooms.
Valerie Gangwer “Val”
Smith Library, Room 326
Val coordinates, setups, and provides support for audio/visual needs for on-campus events, classroom presentations, and academic-sponsored programs.
Val has a BA in Communication Arts from JMU and her background is in radio and television broadcast production. With more than 15 years of AV experience, she is proficient in a variety of academic technologies and has a high proficiency in desktop publishing skills using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. She helps train faculty, staff, and students in video and audio work as well as editing.
Scholar Plaza, Loudoun
Sabrina provides classroom support for Scholar Plaza, Loudoun (SPL).
Sabrina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Radio, TV, and Film and a minor in History from the University of North Texas. Her professional experience as a multimedia specialist spans over 14 years and includes positions such as Lead Video Coordinator for Celebration Church, Technical Manager for the American Black Film Festival, Client Technologist at the University of Baltimore, and A/V Tech Supervisor for Texas Christian University.

Jim provides classroom support for the Winchester Campus. In addition to being a classroom support technician, he also maintains, troubleshoots, and upgrades classroom and conference room audiovisual systems and related components.
Jim has been a freelance computer technician for 20 years. Jim has experience with rebuilding computers and setting up home media systems. Jim is an alumnus of Hampshire High School. Prior to coming to Shenandoah, Jim spent 29 years at Rich Products Corp. followed by 11 years at Kraft-Heinz Company.

Courtney provides classroom support for the Winchester Campus.
Courtney graduated from Shenandoah University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Management and a Minor in Religious Studies.
