Please Let Me Know If You Have Any Questions:
I look forward to meeting you!
My hometown is Front Royal, VA. I attended VCU for undergrad, where I earned my BFA in Dance & Choreography, Minor in English. For Graduate School, I attended George Mason University, earning my MA in Arts Management. I have been a dance faculty member at the Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy since 2011; teaching ballet, jazz, lyrical, and tap. I teach ages 3 through adult. I especially love teaching beginners and watching them grow.
SU is not only a university, but a community. You can tell that everyone from the professors to the staff are fully invested in the students and in creating a sense of welcoming, encouragement, and belonging to all on the SU campus.
I love Broadway musicals and old Hollywood musicals. Gene Kelley films are a personal favorite. Check out the photo of me below from Hamilton.
My advice to students is to figure out what is important to you in looking for a school and make a list. Is it that the school has great social activities, is it the size of the classrooms, is it the type of classes that are offered in your major? Use that checklist when researching schools, but also look at how the school makes you feel. Visit the school and experience the campus environment. Choosing a school is not just about checking off a list. In the end you have trust your gut and go with the place where you can see yourself studying and living for the next 4 years.
