My recruiting territories: Certain VA counties, CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT
B.S. in Psychology, minor in Spanish, Shenandoah University

Hometown: Winchester, VA.
My favorite spot around SU: The study area in Halpin-Harrison Hall (HHH) because I spent a lot of time there studying and talking to friends before classes. A lot of great memories, and many papers written curled up in a desk. In the Winchester area, “Worlds Away Escape” is my favorite! It’s a great activity to do with friends, or even bringing your family along when they come visit!
What makes SU special to me: High school was a difficult time for me. SU is special to me because it created an environment for me to heal and grow. I was shown respect, that I have value, and appreciated for the work I completed. There are no limits to what you can achieve here and to who you can become. As corny as it sounds:
SU is magic and taught me that I can be magic too.
My advice: BE YOURSELF. This is so huge. The only way you’ll know if you fit at the university or if the university fits YOU is by BEING YOU. Try to loosen up, share your experiences, talk about you in more than just the classroom.
Fun fact: My favorite fun fact is about my cat. I got my little guy, Flynn (named after the character in Tangled), at the Martinsburg Humane Society. The reason my cat is my fun fact is because he arrived at the shelter 10 minutes before I got there. 10 minutes! I call it my “divine intervention,” because it gave me something to care about as a teenager and he became my best friend.
