What makes SU special to me: It is a place where everyone has time for one another. Sometimes it can be easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle, but SU is the type of community where people will stop what they are doing to ask you about your day, or have a conversation with you. It feels like a home away from home!

My advice: Take the time to visit many different *types* of schools! Remember that this process is about finding your best fit, so explore all the different options out there! I never knew I wanted a small school until I went on my series of college visits in high school – and it totally changed the course of my college selection process!

My favorite spots in Winchester: Blandy Experimental Farm and State Arboretum! It’s the perfect spot to see the butterfly meadows in the spring, and the best the mountains have to offer in the Fall!
