Transcripts
Official, up-to-date transcripts from all colleges you have attended are to be sent directly to PharmCAS as part of the application process.
Transcript Evaluations
All foreign transcripts must be evaluated by an accredited service approved by Shenandoah University with preference for World Education Services. Evaluations should be sent directly to PharmCAS for inclusion in your application.
Letters of Recommendation
You will be asked to provide three letters of recommendation. Acceptable references include: professors, pharmacists, healthcare professionals, supervisors with whom you have studied or worked. Letters from friends and family members will not be accepted.
Please follow the PharmCAS instructions for submitting the letters.
PCAT Scores: Optional
The PCAT will remain OPTIONAL, not required. If you believe the PCAT provides evidence of your academic preparedness for the Pharm.D. program, you are encouraged to submit your scores. Please reach out to pharmd@su.edu with any questions about this change.
An official copy of your PCAT (Pharmacy College Admission Test) scores within the past 3 years can be sent to PharmCAS.
Enter PharmCAS Code #104 to designate Shenandoah University.
Personal Essay
PharmCAS requires a personal essay. Directions are included with the application.
Prerequisite Courses in Progress
You may have prerequisite courses pending at the time you apply to pharmacy school. PharmCAS will ask you to submit the schedule in which you plan to complete the required courses.
Please note that if accepted into the program, all outstanding prerequisite courses must have been complete with a grade of “C” or better.
