Chris Christensen ‘11 graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Shenandoah University’s Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business. While at Shenandoah, Christensen was a four-year member of the Shenandoah University Men’s Basketball team and served as a work-study student for Scott Musa. After graduating, he accepted a position as an account executive with Apex Advertising in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and is also the head junior varsity basketball coach at Manheim Township High School.
As an account executive at Apex Advertising, Christensen works directly with clients to come up with creative and strategic products to utilize in their marketing efforts. These products include promotional items for trade shows, board meetings, general giveaways, employee recognition, and more. He oversees all activity from start to finish, making sure they are receiving a quality product on time, which enables them to promote their brand effectively.
Christensen believes that his education from Shenandoah prepared him for his career field. “The professors at the Byrd School of Business did an excellent job in preparing me for the working world I would encounter after my time at Shenandoah,” said Christensen. “Each class I took at the Byrd School helped make my job at Apex an easy transition from student to a young business professional. Having my work study with the Athletic Department played a major role in my public speaking skills which would make it much easier to conduct sales presentations in my first year at Apex.”
