Sweeney Todd (Thursday, June 30, through Sunday, July 10)
Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim
This Tony Award-winning musical takes audiences on a dark walk with the demon barber of Fleet Street for a tale of love, London, murder and revenge.
The Pirates of Penzance (Thursday, July 14, through Sunday, July 24)
Libretto by W. S. Gilbert; Music by Arthur Sullivan
Gilbert and Sullivan’s critically hailed musical farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers and an eccentric Major-General.
Little Shop of Horrors (Thursday, July 28, through Sunday, Aug. 7)
Words and music by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman
This ever-popular quirky comedy celebrates the distinct sounds of early rock and roll, doo-wop and Motown. Feed the need for musical hilarity with this delicious sci-fi smash about a man-eating plant.

About Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre:
In 1984, then-Producing Artistic Director Harold Herman founded Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre, a professional summer stock theatre company, on the campus of Shenandoah University. Herman’s goals were to provide affordable, fully-staged family entertainment in the community of Winchester/Frederick County and to give Shenandoah Conservatory’s students the opportunity to work in a professional setting before venturing out to pursue their own careers.
Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre produces four Broadway musicals each summer in the beautiful 630-seat Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre on the campus of Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Eleven performances are given of each musical over a two-week period, drawing audiences from a 150-mile radius with groups traveling in from as far away as Ohio and North Carolina.
