The five Global Citizenship Project destinations for spring break 2017 were revealed during Shenandoah University’s 28th Annual International Convocation, held in November 2016.
Fifty-seven members of the campus community – undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff members, and one university trustee – have been divided into the following five groups:
- Japan, led by Akemi Takayama – Lisa Pluska, Christian Williams, Veronica Mendez, Erin Scherer, Matthew Murray, Michael Ross, Olivia Baker, Kayla Alderman, Emily Chandler and Dian Ibarra
- Peru, led by Miles Davis – Paula Grajdeanu, Mehgan Runion, Emily Harrell, Gerard Talbot-Paul, Emily Ellis, Mickayla Neibert, Renee Jennette, William Westray, Courtney Hodges and Tyler Kilimonis
- Poland, led by Diane Painter – Montressa Washington, Jacqueline Howard, Amber Beckman, Richard Jeric, Osinachi Ibe, Sarah Speck, Wade Bailey, Phillip Earnhardt, Alexandra Fleshman and Maryssa Walker
- Puerto Rico, led by Jason Lopez – Michelle Gamber, Amy Dill, Alan Duvall, Lindsey Sweeney, Rachel Roberts, Kierstan Ellis, Caroline Vance, Olivia Grant, Cameron Graves and Reilly Lincavicks
