Assistant Professor of Accounting Michael Malmfeldt, J.D., was featured in May on Wallethub, a website offering free credit scores and credit reports as well as personalized financial advice. Mamfeldt holds an undergraduate degree in liberal studies and graduate degrees in law, public administration, accounting/finance and tax studies. He also holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. He is an active Certified Public Accountant and an inactive Certified Government Financial Manager. He also worked as a local government CFO in Oklahoma City area prior to joining the Byrd School of Business faculty in 2013. His background in governmental accounting and finance coupled with academia make him an excellent source for information on building credit effectively.
