“Fast, Ugly, and Fucked Up,” a play written by Daniel Rylee Bush ’19 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting) and directed by Avery Aaron Sedlacek ’20 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting), was presented at the New York Theater Festival Winterfest on Jan. 24, Jan. 25, and Jan. 27, along with five other original works. The play featured actors Esai Siddeeq ’19 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre), Kyle Mangold ’19 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre) and Richard Colley ’20 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting) and was one of more than 100 projects presented in the festival, including short and full-length plays.
Bush’s play placed in the top three out of 118 short plays that competed in the Winter Festival. He and actors Siddeeg and Mangold returned to New York on March 12 to perform a segment of the play in a final showcase.
