From March 17 through March 22, Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Conducting Timothy J. Robblee, Ph.D., conducted the Department of Defense Education Association (DoDEA)-Europe Honors Music Festival 2019 band, the Department of Defense (DoD) Dependents Schools’ All-Europe honor band. Robblee led students of DoD schools throughout Europe in Oberwesel, Germany.
Robblee also completed a residency at the International School of Brussels, where he worked with high school and middle school bands and taught clinics with their music faculty.
Robblee also met Sarah Howard-Carter ’01 who is currently a flute soloist with the U.S. Air Force Woodwind Quintet. She performed with the DoDEA Honor Choir on the same concert at which Robblee conducted the band. Howard earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance (Flute) and studied with Professor Emerita of Flute Frances Averitt, D.M.
