Anna Lee van Buren Endowed Chair in Clarinet, Coordinator of Winds and Percussion and Professor of Clarinet Garrick Zoeter, M.M., performed with cellist Qizhen Liu and pianist Ryo Yanagitani at the Cactus Pear Music Festival in San Antonio, Texas, on Sunday, Feb. 23. The performance was on the VIP Soiree series and included movements of works for clarinet, cello and piano by Archduke Rudolph, Beethoven, Brahms, Zemlinsky, D’Indy and Nino Rota.
Zoeter also served as principal clarinet of the Post Classical Ensemble for a concert of Armenian composer Vache Sharafyan’s music at the National Cathedral Wednesday, March 4, as a part of the ensemble’s weeklong celebration of Armenian music — Armenian Odyssey: The Color of Pomegranates series that took place at art venues throughout Washington, D.C.
