Mental Health Emergencies
Mental health emergencies which occur during office hours (9-5pm Mon-Fri, 9-6pm Tues and Thurs) can be handled by contacting the Counseling Center at (540) 665-4530 and asking to speak to Nancy Schulte prior to sending the student over to our center’s location at Cooley Hall room 301 (if at all possible). In the event of an emergency after office hours, contact the Office of Public Safety at (540) 678-4444. Public Safety will contact the SU administrator on call for the appropriate response. If the situation is life threatening, please call 911 and /or go to the nearest Emergency Room, which is Winchester Medical Center, 1840 Amherst Street, (540) 536-8700.
