‘The Great Experiment’ Launch Event
September 27 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Shenandoah University is excited to celebrate the launch of “The Great Experiment,” on Sept. 27 in the brand-new, state-of-the-art Hub for Innovators, Veterans and Entrepreneurs (HIVE) “The Great Experiment” is an educational virtual reality experience that immerses participants in a key moment in U.S. history. For over five years, students and faculty collaborated to create this experience, which places users within a virtual Independence Hall in Philadelphia during the Constitutional Convention of 1787. Through a series of progressively immersive and interactive stages, participants join the country’s founders as they discuss and debate how to select the chief executive of a new republic.
What better time is there to journey back in time to explore the origins of the Electoral College than this moment, when the country’s attention is so heavily focused on the 2024 presidential election?
The official launch of “The Great Experiment” will begin at 2 p.m. with demonstrations of this groundbreaking VR experience being available from 1-2 p.m. and 3-4 p.m.
