Ash Wednesday Service Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Christian season of Lent, a time spent preparing for the miracle and joy of Easter through repentance, fasting, and spiritual discipline. It’s a day to remember the good news that, while our lives may be finite, God’s love knows no bounds. All who wish to observe the day through prayer, worship, and receiving of an imposition of ashes are invited to Goodson Chapel-Recital Hall at 12 p.m. or during our Higher Ground worship service at 9 p.m. on March 2.
