Corcoran Holt Quintet will begin at 8 p.m. in Armstrong Concert Hall. Shenandoah Conservatory alumnus Corcoran Holt ’04 (bass and djembe) joins Antonio Hart (alto and soprano saxophone), Josh Evans (trumpet), Benito Gonzalez (piano), and McClenty Hunter (drums) for an evening of original and standard jazz works exploring Holt’s journey as an artist—from djembe drumming as a toddler to becoming a distinguished jazz bassist traveling around the world and performing with many of today’s jazz elites.
