Flipping the Classroom

September 27, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

You are invited to attend Flipping the Classroom presented by Peter Sheldon, Randolph College, from 12 to 1 PM on September 27. Join us in Smith Library room 318 and bring your lunch, or join via Zoom [meeting link https://zoom.us/my/annemarchan]

We have all heard about flipping the classroom. We might have even tried it once or twice, but maybe haven’t really figured out whether it is worth it, or what is the best way to do it: Why Flip? When should I Flip – do I need to do it every day, or just once in a while? How do I Flip? I will try to address the basics of flipping, and try to answer some of the questions that might be keeping you from flipping.

This event is sponsored by the VFIC STEM Pedagogy sub-committee and is hosted by Shenandoah University. Peter Sheldon is a Professor of Physics and Engineering at Randolph College. As well as teaching physics and engineering, he teaches and researches educational technologies.
