Hot Topics: Abortion: The Center for Civic Engagement will host a Hot Topics event, in person, in honor of Women’s History Month, focusing on an issue that is often polarizing. We will be discussing the topic of abortion and aim to address the fundamental concerns shared by the variety of opinions as they pertain to women’s health and rights and humanitarian responsibilities and discussing the importance of women’s rights and the preservation of potential life. We are looking for students of diverse backgrounds who want to share and better understand the perspective, values, and actions of people who differ from them for a greater sense of unity with special regard for women and those able to get pregnant.
***An optional component is a spicy challenge where students answer questions while starting with mild salsa that increases to very hot by the end of our time.***
