James Ransome, author/illustrator, speaks about his book, “Be A King, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Dream and You” A virtual event for children K-4 will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19. “Everybody can be great because everybody can serve….You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.” Martin Luther King Jr.’s words speak to children in this book, showing how anyone can “be a King.” The Children’s Book Council named James E. Ransome one of 75 authors and illustrators everyone should know. He has illustrated more than sixty books for children. His awards include a Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award and numerous Coretta Scott King Honor awards.
