Juneteenth Lunch & Learn

June 16 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

The Office of Inclusion and Equity will host a Lunch and Learn in honor of Juneteenth on Monday, June 16, from 12:30-2 p.m. in the Mosaic Center for Diversity (Brandt Student Center, Room 120). Participants will watch “Juneteenth/The Tulsa Race Massacre,” an episode of the PBS Detroit production “American Black Journal,” and hold a discussion about the documentary.

“Juneteenth/The Tulsa Race Massacre” showcases a multi-city celebration of Juneteenth, detailing how Detroit commemorates the holiday that marked the end of slavery in the U.S. Additionally, it features a reporter and producer whose stories are the focus of a PBS documentary on the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.

Please bring your own lunch for the event. Sign up using this Google Form. For more information, please contact Dahlia Ashford at mosaiccenter@su.edu.
