McCormick Civil War Institute Program at Fort Collier: Join Jonathan A. Noyalas, MA ’01, director of Shenandoah University’s McCormick Civil War, for an interpretive program at Fort Collier (922 Martinsburg Pike) “They Have Completely Surrounded Stine’s House”: The Construction and Early Use of Fort Collier on Saturday, June 25, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The program, part of a partnership between the McCormick Civil War Institute and Fort Collier Civil War Center, will explore the complexities of civil-military relationships at the Civil War’s outset, the voices of enslaved people, and the fort’s construction.
