New Veteran’s Center Opening and Cookout is from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. near the Lowry Tennis Courts. Students from the Sport Management 110 and Sport Management 383 classes, led by Harry F. Byrd, Jr. School of Business Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Associate Professor of Sport Management Fritz G. Polite, Ph.D., will hold their semi-annual cookout. This semester’s cookout will benefit Shenandoah’s new Veteran, Military & Family Resource Center, located in Halpin-Harrison Hall, Room 140. The center’s official grand opening will be held in the fall 2017 semester, but it is now operational in a “soft launch” phase. Stop by the cookout to enjoy great food, music and games, and support this new initiative for those who are currently enlisted and those who have served our country, as well as their families and their supporters.
