Remember, You Can Help Feed People in Need; Sign Up to Volunteer With Food Recovery Network At Shenandoah University When you think about food, what comes to mind? Delicious? Comforting? Accessible? Now what would you think if 42 million Americans — including 13 million children — lived in households that were food insecure, meaning there was limited or uncertain access to enough food to support a healthy life? The fact of the matter is, people go without the basic necessities of life every day. Many may ask, “Well what can I do? I am only one person.” You can join Food Recovery Network at Shenandoah University, a student-led organization looking for volunteers who are ready to work. Food Recovery Network at Shenandoah repurposes unused food from Allen Dining Hall to give back to the Winchester community, aiding in the fight against hunger. Sign up here to volunteer for a shift or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
