Scholars’ Latino Initiative is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Mosaic Center for Diversity is partnering with John Handley High School for the Scholars’ Latino Initiative. Now that you’ve made it to college, you have the ability to share your knowledge and be a great mentor. Through this three-year mentorship program, Shenandoah University Freshmen and Sophomores are paired with high school Latino/a students to help them prepare for the college lifestyle and workload. You can learn more about being a SLI mentor by attending one of the following information sessions:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 26 12-1pm OR 5-6pm

  • Thursday, Feb. 28 12-1pm OR 5-6pm

  • Tuesday, March 19 12-1pm OR 5-6pm

  • Thursday, March 21 12-1pm OR 5-6pm

Already interested in applying to be a mentor? Fill out the 2019-20 Scholars’ Latino Initiative Mentor Application. Applications are due by 5 pm on Friday, March 22nd. For more information, contact Maggie McCampbell Lien at mmccampb@su.edu.
