Scholars’ Latino Initiative (SLI) Mentor Opportunities are available for first-year Shenandoah student interested in meaningful community involvement. Apply to become a Scholars’ Latino Initiative (SLI) mentor using the 2020-21 SLI Mentor Application Form by Friday, March 20, 2020. SLI is a three-year mentorship program where first-year Shenandoah University students apply to mentor Latinx students from John Handley High School beginning their second year. This program aims to help Latinx high school students prepare for and navigate the college application process, college lifestyle and workload.
