Join the Shenandoah Outdoor & Adventure Recreation (SOAR) on Oct. 19 at noon for an afternoon of nature, learning, and community in Jim Barnett Park! Participants will meet at noon at the Brandt Student Center, Parking Lot D and walk together to Jim Barnett Park, where the group will be welcomed by Jordan Herring, the City of Winchester’s arborist and grounds maintenance manager. 

Jordan will guide the group on an insightful tour through the park, sharing his expertise on the trees that make up our local landscape. After the walk, the group will roll up their sleeves and plant tree saplings starting at 1 p.m.

To celebrate, free food will be available after the planting!
