Turnitin Drop-in Workshop

December 5 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

A Turnitin Drop-in Workshop for Faculty and Instructional Assistants will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on December 5 in Smith Library 318 or remotely via Zoom Meeting (click to join). No registration is required and you may come for any portion of the time. Please bring your laptop.

Turnitin is an electronic text matching system that compares text in a student assignment against a database of sources. Turnitin finds text that matches other sources and shows them to you in an Originality Report, which helps you make informed evaluations of student work and discern if the student needs instruction, correction or judicial action. In this workshop you can work on:

– Creating a Canvas assignment using Turnitin
– Canvas assignment options
– Turnitin options
– Grading with Speedgrader (Canvas) vs. Feedback Suite (Turnitin)
