The U.S. Airmen of Note Concert

April 4, 2017 @ 8:00 pm

The U.S. Airmen of Note Concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the Armstrong Concert Hall. The Airmen of Note is the premier jazz ensemble of the United States Air Force. Stationed at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., it is one of six musical ensembles that comprise The U.S. Air Force Band. Created in 1950 to continue the tradition of Major Glenn Miller’s Army Air Corps dance band, the current band consists of 18 active duty Airmen musicians including one vocalist. Each member is proud to represent all Airmen, whose selfless service and sacrifices ensure the freedoms we enjoy as citizens of the United States of America. Visit here to learn more. Due to their popularity, we encourage patrons to RSVP for each performance in order to receive a free ticket. Reservations do not guarantee a seat. Ticketed patrons must be seated by 7:45 p.m.. At that time, any unused tickets/seats may be released to onsite waiting list patrons. For more information or to reserve tickets, please call 540/665-4569 or go to www.conservatoryperforms.org.
