Career and Professional Development wants to invite students to the Shenandoah Chapter of the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA) Student Mixer on Oct. 24 from 5-8 p.m. at Laurel Ridge Community College in Middletown, VA. The purpose of the mixer is to provide information about the accounting profession and to offer a networking opportunity with accounting professionals and employers to high school and college students interested in the field of accounting. As a result, the organizers are inviting all high schools and colleges in the chapter region.  

The chapter region includes Amissville, Bridgewater, Broadway, Edinburg, Front Royal, Harrisonburg, Luray, Middleburg, New Market, Staunton, Waynesboro, Winchester, Woodstock and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. The event will have speakers from the accounting profession and an employer panel so students can ask questions about accounting.
