DESCRIPTION:Home » Spiritual Life\n\n\n\n\nBishop’s Mass & Catholic Campus Ministry Banquet \n\n\n\n\n\nExperience a milestone for the university on Sunday\, April 19\, as Bishop Michael Burbidge of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington visits campus\, marking the first visit by a bishop of the diocese in Shenandoah University’s history. The evening begins at 5 p.m. in Goodson Chapel-Recital Hall with a celebrated Mass\, followed by the Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) End-of-Year Banquet held outdoors in front of the chapel from 6:15-7:45 p.m. All students\, faculty\, and staff\, regardless of faith background are warmly invited to attend and meet the bishop\, who has expressed a particular interest in connecting with the young people of SU. The banquet will feature dinner catered by Mission BBQ. The preferred dress code is dressy casual. While RSVPs are not required\, they are strongly encouraged to assist with catering and logistics; please register via Evite and indicate if you plan to attend the Mass\, the banquet\, or both. This seasonal celebration invites the campus community to enjoy s’mores by the fire\, wildflower crown crafting\, and music. Participants can also take part in the traditional dancing around a mini maypole to mark the changing of the seasons. It is a unique opportunity to connect with nature and fellow students in a relaxed\, outdoor setting. This event is hosted by The Sacred Grove and the Office of Spiritual Life.
