SUMMARY:Winchester-Clarke Garden Club Volunteering
DESCRIPTION:Home » Student Life\n\n\n\nCatholic Campus Ministry Mass Choir Interest Meeting\n\n\n\n\nJoin the Center for Civic Engagement for a volunteer opportunity that supports the local community and connects you with fellow students. Help the Winchester-Clarke Garden Club harvest fresh vegetables at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley\, 901 Amherst St\, Winchester\, VA 22601\, every Monday at 10 a.m. The produce will be donated weekly to the Congregational Community Action Project (CCAP) food pantry in Winchester to help families experiencing food insecurity. Thanks to a Garden Club of America grant\, the museum’s vegetable gardens have been revitalized and are now ready for harvest. No gardening experience is necessary; just wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Volunteers are welcome to participate once or throughout the season. Registration is required using SignUpGenius. To learn more about the project visit https://www.gcamerica.org/civicprojects/details/id/766. For questions and concerns\, please reach out to Courtenay Nance at courtenay.nantz@su.edu.
