ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:
Academically earned an Associates Degree of Applied Science from Penn State University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Information Science at University of Maryland UC, a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University in Systems Engineering, and Doctorate Degree from Robert Morris University with a concentration in Information Systems and Communications. Doctoral research explored the convergence of communications and information systems with focus on consumer privacy and the tradeoff implications of using Internet products and services. Academically, served as an adjunct professor at Mount Saint Mary’s University, which is a Catholic Institution located in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Roles in industry included positions technology as an organizational leader directing the designing and implementation of policy, security, procedures, configuration management, change management, chaired multi-agency governance committees and led agency workgroup committees. In addition, designed and implemented disaster recovery, capacity planning, budgetary planning, project management, vendor management, Service Level Agreements (SLA), and software/hardware procurement and life-cycle management. Further experience defining strategic goals and initiative for organizational advancement.
As a technical operations manager–engineer, designed systems architecture and implemented large critical production systems with in-depth experience in systems administration, systems integration, systems programming, cyber security management, hardware and data-center infrastructure, disk subsystems, network components, database management, applications, and systems and vendor support.
