While at the BBC, Glenn partnered with journalist/editor Marko Zoric to launch the BBC News YouTube channel – which now has more than 1 million subscribers.
Before joining the BBC, Glenn spent a decade working as a freelance and staff producer/journalist at broadcasters and publications including Military.com, CBS College Sports (CSTV), Financial Times – Money Media, The Guardian (UK) and Runner’s World – Rodale, to name a few.
Camera and editing work has been featured on HBO Real Sports, CBS College Sports Network, CBS Sportsline, Fox Sports Net (via Competitor Group), YES Network (New York), VS (as Outdoor Life Network), WNBC – TV (New York), the US Department of Energy website, the US Department of State website (& associated social media) and in branded content projects for Motown-Universal, Nike Running and New Balance.
His work has taken him from college football fields in the Deep South of the US, to refugee camps in Haiti and war zones in Afghanistan. His 2009 documentary series about injured FDNY firefighter Matt Long earned him (with Brian Sabin) a Webbys People’s Voice Award for Best Sports Video. His 2014 documentary To Remember (with Ian Connors) was acquired by BBC World News and seen in more than 160 countries, earning the pair a Silver Telly Award for documentary and a selection to Washington DC’s GI Film Festival.
